Problems with the zip files - I refreshed the files and sent them up. I have also abandoned the self-executing format - too many problems.

In my ongoing quest to normalize the database, I have found a few minor errors and corrected them.

Corrected some incorrect stellar data entries in the database.

Reformatted the database into Access95 format (I wrote a VB app that compacted the file - was 13 MB prior to compaction. I had been using Access 97 previously because database compaction is built in.)

secdat.exe - added Amduken sector data and corrected a problem with the unzip path

secdat2.exe - added Amduken link

secdb.exe (the database) - added Amduken sector data

Re-invent the wheel time.

secdat.exe (the original single-page format) - I've reformatted the file into the multi-page (one sector per page) format. The addition of the Amdukan Sector data will put the file over the number of rows that Excel will permit - so I've no choice there.

secdat2.exe (the Excel97 workbook) - since I reformatted the original spreadsheet, I could not see the need for two spreadsheets in the same format. Still, I like the links that the '97 sheet had - so I removed all the data from the sheet and pointed the links at the original sheet. In order to use them, the two spreadsheets must be in the same directory, but other than that it works just fine!

To ensure that no one gets caught off-guard by these changes, I've renamed the spreadsheets. The spreadsheet containing the sector data has been named (imaginitively enough) 'data.xls'. The spreadsheet with the sector positions and links to the data is (amazingly) 'sector.xls'

The database has been corrected

Errors were reported in the Gvurrdon sector data - and unfortunately, I was able to verify that the data is incorrect. I have corrected the Gvurrdon Sector data (using 'Alien Module 3 - Vargr' data) in SecData.xls and SecData2.xls and have posted it, but I will not be able to correct the data in the database until later this weekend.

Recompiled Sector Data.mdb - added fields for sector position (X,Y relative to Core Sector) and broke up the Population/Planetoid/Gas Giant data into individual fields.

Found and corrected several minor data issues in Secdata.xls tha had already been corrected in Secdata2.xls (Solomani Rim SubSector names, an incomplete sorting of the Stahaia'yo Sector, Stahaia'yo misspelled.)

Found and repaired a problem with SecData2.xls - all the links were broken.

Added x,y coordinate numbers to the sector map in SecData2.xls

Added the Gvurrdon Sector data to Secdata.xls and Secdata2.xls

Added SubSector Names to the Glimmerdrift Reaches Sector

Added the Diaspora Sector data to Secdata.xls and Secdata2.xls
